Epic Games will keep adding a lot of new content to "Fortnite Battle Royale" in Season 7. The season itself has brought some huge gameplay changes, and the game looks much different now than it looked a year ago. However, this is just the beginning, as it will receive more changes to keep players entertained with fresh new content. A new weapon is already on its way, and players are expecting it to be released with the next update.

The "Fortnite Battle Royale" developer has made some big changes to weapons in recent months. Snipers have been affected by these changes, and players can no longer use a Semi-Auto Sniper as it has been vaulted.

Bolt Action Sniper is no longer a Legendary item, and Epic Games has added a Heavy Sniper, which deals massive damage against both players and structures. Now, it's time for a Suppressed Sniper Rifle to be added to the popular video game.

Suppressed Sniper Rifle

Submachine Guns and Assault Rifles have gotten their variants with a suppressor. The Suppressed Submachine Gun has been vaulted, while the Suppressed SCAR is still in the game and one of the player-favorite weapons. Adding a suppressed long-range weapon makes a lot of sense for "Fortnite Battle Royale," and data miners have revealed that it would be added soon.

Twitter data miner @lucas7yoshi_ has shared his latest discovery with the "Fortnite" community.

The data miner has discovered a Suppressed Sniper Rifle in the game data. File "WID_Sniper_Suppressed_Scope_Athena_SR_Ore_t03" was found in game files under Athena folder, which is the folder for the PvP mode.

As you can see in the tweet above, Epic Games has already added the 3D model for the upcoming sniper rifle.

This means that the weapon could be added very soon, and there is a chance that it comes out in the next content update. At the moment, stats of this weapon are unknown, but we can expect it to deal lower damage than its counterparts. Considering that the weapon is going to be suppressed, there is no doubt that it will be lethal as it will allow players to take their enemies out from distance without revealing their location.

Next update

Epic Games has announced that the third v7.10 content update is going to be released on Tuesday, January 8. "Fortnite Battle Royale" players are expecting both a Suppressed Sniper Rifle and a Driftboard to be added with it. The update will require no downtime and will be released at 5 AM ET.
