"Fortnite Battle Royale's" v7.10 patch went live on the morning of December 18. While this patch was relatively small, it has brought some big balance changes and numerous bug fixes. The update was originally planned to bring a drift board, which is a new vehicle, but Epic Games had to postpone this due to a problem. Airplane pilots now have to be more careful while flying, and zip lines are now working as intended.
Once again, the video game developer has added a number of new files to the game data. These files have been recovered by data miners, and now we can take a look at what's going to be added to the popular video game.
Beside new cosmetic items, Epic Games is going to release a special 14-day event to celebrate the upcoming winter holidays. The video game creator will release many limited-time game modes during this period, and according to data miners, one of these modes will allow players to enjoy Season 1 all over again. Epic Games also admitted to a mistake.
Classic 'Fortnite' LTM
Epic Games posted the following message in the blog post that announced the new event: "In addition to the map makeover, the 14 Days of Fortnite event will feature a new challenge with a new free reward every single day. Each day also brings both new and returning LTMs.[sic]" This means that players will get some big map changes, as well as many new modes to enjoy until the end of the year.
Data miners have discovered some of the new LTMs that will be added to "Fortnite Battle Royale," and one of them is about the classic "Fortnite" experience. The new mode will feature weapons only from Season 1 and Season 2. “Classic Battle Royale gameplay with only the weapons and items that existed during the first two seasons of the game,” the recovered game files said.
When this mode comes out, players will be able to use some vaulted weapons, including Tactical Submachine Gun, Semi-Auto Sniper, and possibly Zapotron. According to the game data, the classic mode will have some modifiers, and players will be able to play it with three-player squads and with glider re-deployment as well.
Release date
At the moment, it is unknown when "Fortnite Battle Royale" players will get the opportunity to play the classic mode. However, it will happen in the next two weeks, and Epic Games may release this mode as a Christmas gift to all players. There will be many other modes, and each of them will reward players. It is definitely going to be an interesting holiday season for "Fortnite" players and Epic Games may break even more records with the game.
