Epic Games has added a lot of new files to the "Fortnite Battle Royale" game data. The video game creator most likely won't release any new content next week, due to a winter break, but we can already see what's going to be added to the game. While the v7.10 patch hasn't added any new item to the game, data miners have discovered numerous new files which show us new items that will come, but also reveal the storyline.

The v7.01 patch added the Infinity Blade in the Polar Peak area, and this part of the map has received some big changes since then.

Even though the blade has been vaulted, the game developer has made another change to this area, and it looks like it will be essential to the storyline in season 7. The latest discovery by data miners shows us that Dragon Egg has been found in the game data, and will shortly appear in the Polar Peak castle.

Dragons in the Fortnite world

Even though we may not get an update next week, we can expect Epic Games to keep changing Polar Peak. The Infinity Blade was probably a part of the original storyline for this season, but the game developer had to remove it because it was incredibly powerful. However, it appears that the "Fortnite Battle Royale" creator has an alternate storyline for the season, and it is going to include a dragon egg, and possibly dragons.

The castle at the top of Polar Peak is going to play a major role in the season 7 storyline. At the start of the season, "Fortnite Battle Royale" players were able to only access its top. However, the snow around it has melted, and the castle can now be seen completely.

Data miner FortTory has discovered a Dragon egg in the game data, and this egg is going to be found in the Polar Peak castle.

Furthermore, one of the quests during the "14 Days of Fortnite" event will have players interact with the egg, which means that it is going to be added to the game very soon. The event ends in less than two weeks, so there is a good chance this will happen around Christmas.

It is currently unknown what is going to happen with the egg, but it won't be surprising if we get dragons as pets in "Fortnite Battle Royale." Additionally, dragons may be used as rides instead of vehicles.

Considering that Epic Games has added a lot of game-changing things to "Fortnite" recently, we can expect more big changes.

Ice melting

Epic Games has hinted at ice melting numerous times, and this is what could happen at the end of the current season. Considering that Greasy Grove, the area under Polar Peak, is still frozen, we might get it back after it all melts.
