Season 7 of "Fortnite Battle Royale" has brought some drastic gameplay changes. Epic Games has experimented with many different updates, but the latest update was arguably the biggest one in the history of this video game. The in-game map has gotten some massive changes and players can now see the snow for the first time. Additionally, there are some new things, such as airplanes and the Creative mode, which completely changed the game.

The "Fortnite" developer isn't going to stop releasing updates anytime soon. Players are used to getting weekly updates for the most popular battle royale game, and that is what is going to happen in season 7 as well.

The playable map will be getting changes over time, and the development team is going to add new items for players to use. Even though the first week of season 7 hasn't finished yet, Epic Games have already revealed a game-changing feature that is going to be added soon.

Melee weapons coming to the PvP mode

"Fortnite's" PvE mode, Save the World, has had melee weapons since its release. There are different types of melee weapons, such as swords, axes, hammers, and more. Even though Epic Games has teased "Fortnite Battle Royale" players with the idea of adding such weapons to the PvP mode, there had been no progress up to this point. However, we are finally getting melee weapons, and it is going to be interesting to see how they work in the popular mode.

As you can see in the tweet above, Epic Games has released a short teaser for swords in "Fortnite Battle Royale." "Coming soon...a weapon fit for a King," is what the game developer posted on their social media profiles.

At the moment, we don't know how swords are going to work in the PvP mode, but we are going to find it out soon.

The v7.01 update will be released on Tuesday, December 11, at 5 AM eastern time. This is when the game developer is going to release swords to the game, and we will have a chance to try them out for the first time!

There is no doubt there are going to be some epic melee fights in "Fortnite Battle Royale," especially in the Playground and Creative mode.

The Block

The Creative mode in "Fortnite" has allowed players to create their own islands and custom maps. Epic Games has replaced Risky Reels with "The Block," and this is where the best user-made creations are going to appear. Considering that we are getting an update soon, we might get a player-made creation on the main island as well!
