The latest updates for the PS4 exclusive "Spider-Man" video game reveal more Spidey suits and details about Peter Parker in the game's story. US Gamer reporter Mike Williams claims that the game will have 25 alternate costumes that players can unlock in the game.

Game director Ryan Smith and head story writer, Jon Paquette, talked about the importance of Peter as a hero and character when they developed the storyline for the game.

"Spider-Man" will feature the web-slinger struggling to balance a normal life and crime fighting. He encounters a new threat called The Demons and they are led by Martin Li (Mister Negative).

More Spider-Man costumes to unlock

According to Heroic Hollywood, Mike Williams stated that "Spider-Man" will contain 25 alternate costumes and he saw a few of them when he played the hands-on demo. The outfits include the Noir, Ben Reilly's Scarlet Spider, Secret War, Armor MK II, Miguel O'Hara's 2099 suit, and the home-made and Stark Tech suits from "Spider-Man: Homecoming" movie.

There will be three unlockable Spidey suits in the game when players decide to pre-order it.

They are the Velocity suit, Iron Spider from "Avengers: Infinity War," and Spider-Punk. The classic suit will also be featured in the game's tutorial mode when the players confront the Kingpin and his gang one last time.

Peter Parker - Spidey dynamic

According to Newsweek, Ryan Smith and Jon Pacquette stated that players will learn more about Peter without the mask during the course of the main story. Pacquette believed that his dual identities are separate and Peter must accept that they are a part of who he really is in his core.

Smith, on the other hand, believes that Peter is struggling with not being Spider-Man and vice-versa, and it could create an interesting dynamic. He thinks that Peter is always at odds with himself.

“I always think of it as the human side of the character. Whenever something goes well with Spider-Man, he's late for work the next minute, Smith told Newsweek. "He's always trying to balance the two parts of his lives. The competent superhero with the underdog, less competent scientist Peter Parker.”

Spidey's civilian identity will have him invent new features for his suit and upgrade its status to be more efficient in battle. His love interest, Mary Jane Watson, will also be a playable character. Her missions involve stealth and taking pictures of evidence for the Daily Bugle.

Players will also encounter classic Marvel foes such as Electro, Rhino, Vulture. Shocker. Scorpion, Silver Sable, and Norman Osborn.
