So far, “Pokemon GO” Community Day events have been successful. This month’s Community Day will be unique yet complicated. Recently, Developer Niantic revealed that the August Community Day event will span two days. The event will reward players with a handful of bonuses and will feature a Normal-type Pokemon with an exclusive move it has never known.
'Pokemon GO' Eevee Community Day event
Community Day picks have become so predictable that players were guessing so easily the next Pokemon to be featured. However, the “Pokemon GO” Developer has decided to throw a total curveball at them.
August Community Day event will feature Pokemon Eevee as its special Pokemon. During this event, Eevee will appear more frequently, thereby increasing the chance of encountering and capturing its shiny variants. Every player wants an Eevee, not just because it is cute and cuddly but because of its variants. The exclusive move released for the event is known as Last Resort, a Normal-type attack move which no Eevee nor any of its evolutions knows.
According to Forbes, the event will run on August 11 and 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. BST in Europe and Africa, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. PT in North America, and from 12 p.m.-3 p.m. JST in Asia. According to Gamespot, players will be offered some exclusive bonuses such as 3 hours of Lure Modules instead of the usual 30 minutes, 3X Stardust, and additional bonuses which are yet to be released by ”Pokemon GO” Developer Niantic.
How to catch and evolve Eevee
The Community Day will shine brightly with Eevee and players will have an increased chance of catching a lot of Shiny Eevee. For the past months, Developer Niantic has been featuring Pokemon with three stage evolutions. However, this month they have chosen to feature one with five different forms; namely Water-type Vaporeon, Fire-type Flareon, Electric-type Jolteon, Psychic-type Espeon, Dark-type Umbreon.
Eevee, the Normal-type Pokemon can be caught in neighborhoods and cities, especially during the day. Eevee seems to spawn near Pokestops. Players are advised to hang around Pokestops with active lures and equipped Starpiece in order to increase their Stardust and Pinap Berries to get more candies to catch Eevee.
Hatching Eevee from Eggs is not an option because they only hatch in ten-kilometer Eggs.
In order to evolve Eevee, name it after one of the Eevee brothers (Pyro, Rainer, and Sparky), close the game, ensure the updated name hits the servers, then reload the game. After doing this, evolve the Eevee and it should turn into the corresponding Eeveelution (Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon). The secret name Pyro evolves Eevee to Flareon, Rainer evolves it to Vaporeon, while Sparky evolves it to Jolteon.
