Epic Games has been very active with weekly updates for both modes of "Fortnite." Whether you play the PvE mode or you fight against other players in Battle Royale, you have seen many changes and many new items over the past few weeks. It seems that the video game developer will keep rolling out even more updates, and a SCAR, the most popular gun in the PvP mode, could get another variant.

In the past few weeks, "Fortnite Battle Royale" players have received Double Barrel Shotgun and Heavy Sniper. Even though there had been just enough shotguns and snipers in the game before these two weapons, the game developer decided to make weapons even more diverse.

Now, it seems that another assault is coming to the game, and it is going to be a modified version of the legendary assault rifle that's already in the game.

Suppressed SCAR coming to the game

SCAR has been in "Fortnite Battle Royale" ever since it was released in September 2017. It has always been one of the most powerful weapons in the game, and it is definitely the favorite gun of many players. It comes in two strongest rarities: epic and legendary, and it's the best assault rifle thus far.

According to the latest leak, by Fortnitee_Leaks Twitter page, Suppressed SCAR will be added to the popular video game. Considering that this was seen in the game data, we know for sure that it will be released, we just don't know when it will be done.

Additionally, the file was not found in Athena folder, which means that the suppressed assault rifle could be used in "Fortnite: Save the World" mode as well.

At the moment, "Fortnite Battle Royale" has suppressed pistols and suppressed submachine guns, which means that this would be the first assault rifle of that type.

Its damage is currently unknown, but it would most likely retain the rarities of the regular SCAR and have a slightly lower damage.

Considering that assault rifles are relatively balanced at the moment, Epic Games may not release this weapon anytime soon. The sixth season of the popular video game might start in less than 30 days, so there is a good chance that the weapon comes out with the next season.

Season 6 start date

Season 6 was originally scheduled to begin on September 25, but it seems that the "Fortnite Battle Royale" developer will postpone it once again. While many players have expected it to be extended for one or two days, if the recent leak is to be believed, it will be pushed for October 2.
