While most "Fortnite Battle Royale" players were looking forward to leaks that included upcoming skins, including the Road Trip skin, many of them were excited to find out that a unique weapon could be added to the game.

According to the latest leak, a Flamethrower could be added to the popular battle royale video game in one of the upcoming updates.

Flamethrower details

According to FNBRLeaks' Twitter page, Flamethrower files were added to the "Fortnite Battle Royale" game data with the Thursday patch. The page posted a screenshot of these game files, revealing some details about the upcoming weapon. While this weapon will be ranged, gamers can expect its range to be short, but it should make up for it with area-of-effect damage.

Right now, this weapon is classified as a light machine gun, but it will most likely be changed before it comes out.

Additionally, it uses medium bullets, which is also odd. However, if Epic Games doesn't implement a new type of ammo into the game, it would not be a surprise to see the weapon use the same type of ammo as assault rifles.

While the leaked game files don't mention anything about it, there is a chance that the upcoming weapon could use fuel.

This would be similar to the concept the Jetpack used, except for the recharging part. Following this idea, once the fuel for the Flamethrower is used up, that would be it.

As season five is coming to an end, Epic Games is preparing huge things for "Fortnite Battle Royale" players. Along with the new gameplay items and new skins, there will be many map changes coming in the following weeks.

On August 23, the game developer began a series of in-game lightning strikes, and it seems that the next season will be introduced by them. Season four was introduced with meteors, and players can expect the game developer to do a similar thing for season six. With four more weeks to go, there should be many great things to come.
