"Fortnite Battle Royale" players have recently received two new limited-time game modes, with one of them being quite unique. Sniper Shootout made its comeback, allowing players to test out the new sniper rifle. Not only this, but Soaring 50's brought fast-paced action between two teams of 50 players, and it seems that Epic Games will release another fast-paced mode very soon.
Soaring 50's allows players to open their umbrellas or gliders when they are ten meters up in the air or higher. This basically means that taking fall damage is almost impossible, and players can use their gliders to reach distant places on the island very quickly.
Another upcoming limited-time game mode will allow players to open their gliders when they are high enough, along with a few more interesting changes.
Velocity game mode
According to FNBRLeaks Twitter page, the new limited-time game mode will be similar to Soaring 50's, but it won't be a huge team mode. While it's unknown whether the new mode will be available in a solo, duo, or a squad playlist, there are enough leaked details about it which make us believe that it will be a very interesting mode.
Velocity is the name of this upcoming mode for "Fortnite Battle Royale," and it will focus on a quick movement and fast action. Players will be able to open their gliders and umbrellas from large heights, just like in Soaring 50's, and they will also get a higher drop rate for Impulse Grenades and Bounce Pads.
Additionally, there will be more all-terrain karts spawned over the island which will help players run away from the fast-moving storm.

In-game description of this game mode states the following: "Velocity is a high-mobility limited time mode.
Gliders can be re-deployed when falling from large heights. Extra Impulse Grenades, Bounce Pads and ATKs will be spawned throughout the map. The storms move twice as fast. Get in and get moving!"
There have been some rumors that the new game mode could be available in all three playlists, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Considering that the last two limited-time game modes were released recently, Velocity LTM probably won't be released before patch 5.30 next week.
Week 6 challenges
While waiting for Velocity limited-time game mode, "Fortnite Battle Royale" players will be busy completing week 6 challenges of season 5. Completing all challenges rewards players with five Battle Pass tiers, including 6,000 Season XP.
