The latest updates for the PS4 exclusive "Spider-Man" video game reveal a new trailer at the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con event. The trailer features the game appearances of Spidey archnemesis Norman Osborn and the mercenary Silver Sable as they hunt down Peter Parker to protect New York City.

There is also the reveal of the third pre-order Spider-Man suit and the inclusion of Tombstone in the game. The "Spidey" game will feature Peter Parker struggling to balance his normal and superhero life. A new threat has emerged to terrorize the city as he faces Martin Li and his old enemies from the Sinister Six.

Norman Osborn hunts down Spider-Man in the SDCC trailer

According to Screen Rant, Marvel Entertainment and Insomniac Games streamed the new trailer for "Spider-Man" at SDCC 2018 and it features Peter Parker's encounter with New York City's new mayor, Norman Osborn. New York is under attack by Martin Li and his gang, as Osborn has declared that criminals and vigilantes will not be tolerated due to the increasing collateral damage to the city.

The mayor hires Silver Sable and her Wild Pack team to hunt down and kill the web-slinger. Peter Parker seeks help from both Mary Jane Watson and Miles Morales as he cannot stop Martin Lin if the whole city is hunting him. The trailer also sees Peter wearing his classic Spidey suit as he takes down Wilson Fisk.

Peter will also encounter old enemies such as Vulture, Scorpion, Electro, Rhino, and Shocker. The game will feature a massive open-world as Spidey swings around the city looking for bad guys. Players will use both hand-to-hand combat and web-based gadgets to fight criminals.

The game will also have easter eggs referencing other Marvel superheroes, but game director Bryan Intihar confirmed that there will be no appearances from Doctor Strange, Daredevil, or the Avengers.

New Spidey suit and Tombstone

According to Game Rant, the third pre-order costume for the "Spider-Man" game is called the Velocity Suit. The suit allows Peter to move faster when he web-swings around the city and some of its parts glow.

It will be available in the game alongside the Spider-Punk and Iron Spider costumes. Insomniac teased that other costume from the comics and movies will be featured in the game, so fans will be expecting the Noir, Black symbiote, suit, Future Foundation, and more.

Twitter username Joshua Yehl posted a photo of a new foe in the game and speculated that he could be the superpowered enforcer, Tombstone. "Spider-Man" will launch on September 7 for the PlayStation 4 console.
