The latest updates for the PS4 exclusive "Spider-Man" video game reveal a boss fight between the web-slinger and Wilson Wisk a.k.a. The Kingpin. Reddit user drazux posted low-resolution gameplay of their fight, hinting that Kingpin will be the first boss battle in the game.

There is also a new speculation the Spidey from the game will join Sony's animated film, "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse." The game's story will feature Peter trying to balance a normal life, while still protecting New York City. He will face a new threat to the city in the form of Martin Li, as well as, old foes like Electro, Rhino, Scorpion, and more.

Spidey vs Kingpin boss battle

According to a popular Comic Book website, drazux's video featured Spider-Man fighting the Kingpin and his hired thugs inside his building. The gameplay video also featured Peter wearing his classic Spidey suit indicating that his encounter with Wilson Fisk is the first part of the game's story.

Kingpin is one of the major Marvel villains featured in "Spider-Man" and his criminal organization is slowly being taken over by Martin Li. With him behind bars, Martin will seize control of New York's criminal underworld and he needs the web-slinger eliminated to put his plans to fruition.

Martin Li will also assemble a new Sinister Six as the E3 2018 gameplay saw him teaming up with Scorpion, Electro, Rhino, and Vulture.

New York's new mayor, Norman Osborn, will also go after Spidey as he no longer tolerates vigilantes in his city. He has hired Silver Sable and the Wildpack to hunt him down.

Peter will need all the help he can get as he recruits Mary Jane Watson and Miles Morales to help save the city. The game will feature a massive open-world exploration and its combat system will test the players' creativity to take down enemies.

They can come up with new combos and air juggles for massive damage, or use web-based gadgets for stealth takedowns and take out large groups.

Joining the 'Into the Spider-Verse' film?

According to Comic Book Resources, there is a slight chance that Peter from Insomniac's "Spider-Man" PS4 game will join Miles Morales and the other Spidey's in the "Into the Spider-Verse" animated movie.

While the game is scheduled to be released on September 7, Insomniac Games' iteration of the web-slinger became fan-favorite amongst fans and having him in the film is the perfect move to promote both products.

The animated movie will have Miles learn how to be a superhero under the tutelage of an alternate version of Peter Parker. They are joined by Gwen Stacy, Spidey Noir, Peni Parker, and Spider-Ham.
