The latest updates for "Red Dead Redemption 2" revealed that Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games would not delay the sequel's development and its scheduled October release in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer on CNBC (via Gamerant) that video game fans will not have to worry too much about the sequel as they intend to keep their promise to launch it this year without any sort of delay.

The story of the game is centered on Arthur Morgan, a member of the Vander Linge Gang, who is on the run after failing a bank heist. He and his friends must survive the Wild West against bounty hunters and federal agents.

No more delays

According to Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two and Rockstar Games will deliver the promise that they gave to the video game fans as they positive they can launch "Red Dead Redemption 2" on October 26 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Jim Cramer asked the later whether or not that it could be a risky move to release the game in such a short span of time, but Zelnick rebuked his question and was confident enough that the sequel will make it on its intended schedule.

"When we say 'hands on heart,' it's over a 1000 people at Rockstar Games with hands on their hearts," Zelnick said.

Zelnick teased before that Take-Two and Rockstar will have "RDR2" ported to the PC platform after its console debut as he explained that it an important part of the game's promotional value driven by the need of digital distribution. It seems the developers and the video game publisher saw the importance of the PC platform to their project since "Grand Theft Auto 5" and its online counterpart made the leap, and gathered more followers that made it a juggernaut success in the industry.

What do we know so far?

The sequel will feature a planned heist system similar to "GTA 5" and "GTA Online" were in Arthur, and the gang will draw out strategies to steal money from the banks without too much hassle.

Players can choose to go in smoothly, or charge in the building guns blazing all-around.

Rockstar Games co-president Rob Nelson also revealed the new weapon mechanics as they wanted players' to experience the authentic and practical side of using firearms in the Wild West such as reload speed and changing cartridges.

Slow-motion deaths are added to the sequel during story mode and online gameplay. Once triggered, the system frame creates the action, and a series of events will chain during the slow motion. Side-missions can be played by asking NPCs around camp or in town.
