"Fortnite Battle Royale" developer Epic Games has made numerous changes to the map with patch 4.0. The map was changed after the meteor impact, and there are many new interesting places and clues players can discover. There are many theories about what could happen next to the "Fortnite" universe, and it is not surprising considering how many hints players have gotten so far.

Recently, another mystery has been uncovered by the players of this popular video game. This mystery involves Wailing Woods and the mysterious hatch that is located in this area.

Many players have noticed the hatch, but no one has quite figured out what it means. The hatch was added in the second week of Season 4, and it will be interesting to see what the game developer will do with it.

The mysterious hatch

The mysterious hatch can be found in Wailing Woods on I3 square. "Fortnite Battle Royale" players cannot interact with it, and it looks like it has no purpose. However, judging from the recent in-game events, it is safe to say that the hatch has a deeper meaning, and it might be used later in the game.

The hatch can't be destroyed nor can it be accessed. However, players can see what's inside of it by using the replay tool. If you look through the opening of the hatch, you will see something that looks like a tunnel.

This leads players to believe that the mysterious hatch could be used for hiding or escaping to another place on the map. If the dinosaur theory is true (watch the video above), then it would make sense that the hatch would be used for these purposes.

However, it may not be as big as many players believe since Epic Games could simply use the hatch for next week's Battle Pass challenges.

It could also mean that the game developer is not intending to use it for the backstory, but rather as a "Fortnite Battle Royale" gameplay feature. Maybe players will finally get a big underground area in the game? What do you think will happen?

Dusty Divot change

Many players haven't noticed it, but Epic Games has made a few more changes to the in-game island.

Dusty Divot, the area in the middle of the island, had a few small changes. The game developer surrounded the rock in the middle with even more walls and a roof, and it seems that this area will be changing more often as Season 4 progresses.

In case you missed it, leaked information suggests that Moisty Mire will be destroyed by the end of this season, which will be another big change.
