The latest updates for "Kingdom Hearts 3" reveal the first mini-game for the upcoming sequel. Square Enix released a new gameplay trailer at the "Kingdom Hearts Union X" event and it featured Sora joining Mickey Mouse in a classic LCD-styled adventure video game. It seems that aside from the main story, video game fans can do more activities in the sequel and the teaser may prove to be the first step for other mini-games for the franchise. There are also rumors of possible multiple endings for players to unlock in finishing "Kingdom Hearts 3's" story.

Mini-games confirmed

The trailer starts with Sora playing a portable game at Twilight Town as the scene changes into a 1980s-styled platform level featuring him and Mickey Mouse. Four different mini-games are shown in the trailer and they are "Barnyard Battle," "The Karnival Kid, " "Giant Land," and "Musical Farmer." They all feature the same color scheme and play style controls.

It is unknown if these are the only mini-games in the sequel, as video game fans are wondering if Square Enix has more surprises in store for them soon.

So far, "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature new Disney worlds from animated movies such as "Tangled," "Big Hero 6," "Toy Story," and "Monsters Inc." The game will also feature returning worlds from previous tules like "Hercules," "The Lion King," and "Winnie the Pooh."

Video game fans are eager to find out if Square Enix will add worlds and characters from "Frozen," "Wreck-it Ralph," "The Jungle Book," "The Incredibles," and more.

"Spider-Man" PS4 director Bryan Intihar also expresses his desire to see Marvel and Star Wars added to the franchise.

More endings for 'KH3?'

According to Brinkwire, Square Enix might be planning to have different endings for the "KH3" story. Similar to games like "Persona 5" and "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," multiple endings can be unlocked if they completed the necessary objectives or the choices they made throughout the story.

It may have a happy ending, a sad ending, or a mixture of both depending on the player's progress.

The story of the third game will follow Sora's battle with the new Organization XIII led by Master Xehanort as they plan to rule everything and caged it to complete darkness. Joining Sora are Donald, Goofy, Riku, Kairi, and King Mickey as they explore new worlds, unlock powerful Keyblades, and meet new faces from Disney and Final Fantasy.
