The latest updates for "Kingdom Hearts 3" reveal the possible Release Date of the game for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Online retail store Target placed a new listing and it revealed that the sequel will launch in October. Square Enix plans to release the game this year and video game fans are excited to see the final chapter of the beloved Japanese RPG franchise, featuring the characters and worlds from Disney and Final Fantasy.

"Spider-Man" PS4 creative director Bryan Intihar expressed his desire to see Marvel characters featured in the third game.

Video game fans have been wanting to know if Square Enix will include these characters in the game since Disney owns the license.

Release date leaked

According to Target's product listing, "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be available for consoles on October 31. While game developer and publisher Square Enix has not made any comments or statements about the leaked launch date, they are planning to make the official announcement at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo event.

So far, Square Enix development for the sequel has been great despite their busy schedules. They have already revealed new Disney worlds for the game such as "Toy Story," "Monsters Inc.," "Big Hero 6," and "Tangled." Video game fans are hoping to see more worlds from other popular Disney films such as "Frozen," "Wreck-it Ralph," "The Incredibles," "The Jungle Book," and more.

They can also visit worlds from previous games like "Hercules," "Winnie the Pooh," and "The Lion King."

The sequel will also feature new Keyblade transformations each time Sora visits and saves a new world giving him a new edge against his fight with the Heartless and the new Organization XIII. Game director Tetsuya Nomura stated in this month's issue of PlayStation Magazine that players will start with the first phase of the Keyblade and it evolves over time depending on how they initiate combo moves.

Marvel worlds and characters crossing over 'KH3'?

"Spider-Man" creative director Bryan Intihar told Game Informer that he would like to see Peter Parker and other Marvel Characters in "Kingdom Hearts 3."

"That'd be awesome. They've got to start putting the Marvel worlds in there, right? They've added the Pixar stuff, right, so we need Star Wars, we need Marvel, " Intihar said.

It has been a long-standing rumor and speculation by video game fans to see both Marvel and Star Wars worlds in the game since Disney owns the rights to both franchises. In addition, they also want to see new faces from the "Final Fantasy" games such as Lightning and Noctis.
