Microsoft has some big gaming news coming this year. The software giant has finally confirmed plans to announce a new "Forza Horizon" game, titled “Forza Horizon 4.” The company plans to reveal it at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event.
The Redmond-based company plans to reveal it at the E3 event, with a huge theater showcase along with a special FanFeast. The goal is to give Xbox One owners a chance to see the latest upcoming games for the Xbox console.
About Forza Horizon game
Developed by PlayGround Games in association with US developer Turn 10 studios, "Forza Horizon" is an open-world racing game for Microsoft’s Xbox gaming console.
the racing game was published by Microsoft Studios. The first Forza game was released by Microsoft Studios in North America in October 2012. Microsoft released its second entry to the Forza game franchise in September 2014. This was followed by the release of the third installment, the Forza Horizon 3. The much-awaited fourth installment, "Forza Horizon 4," has already been confirmed by the publisher.
As for the setting, the game is a closed-road, open-world game based on the fictional street racing event on Colorado, much known as the "Horizon Festival." The Forza game features much different gameplay as aspects from previous "Forza Motorsports" games, like the realistic physics, high-definition graphics and even the large variety of racing cars.
Its features multiple race types, ranging from drift to rally races. Additionally, the game also features AI traffic, festival drivers and more importantly, a long list of luxury sports cars.
Microsoft’s other plans for E3 event
Microsoft has already announced plans for the upcoming E3 event on June 10-11. The company is expected to showcase a bunch of deal for its Xbox console and Windows 10 platform.
In fact, Kitguru reported that the company has a slew of high-profile third-party deals lined up for this year’s E3 event.
The software giant will reportedly have a new "Splinter Cell," "Anthem," "Borderlands 3," "Battlefield 4," "Madden19," and "Cyberpunk 2077." There are also reports about deal set up for "The Division 2" and "Shadow of the Tomb Raider."
The E3 or Electronic Entertainment Expo is an annual premier trade event for the video game industry.
The event, which is usually held in late May or June, is used by many game developers, publishers, and manufacturers to introduce upcoming games and hardware to the gaming world. The 2018 E3 event is set to take place on June 10-11, however, the exact or specific location has not been revealed. But based on the historical facts, its likely to be in the same location as its last year’s E3 press conference., the iconic Microsoft Theater.
In addition, Microsoft also detailed its plans for the upcoming E3 event, including FanFeast event, giveaways, and even ticket prices. The company said the Xbox briefing tickets would be free for all, but the FanFeast event will have a price attached, according to ComicBook.
Fans are advised to keep a close eye on the company’s Xbox Wire page in order to know when the ticket registration will start. As for the Xbox briefing, the event will take place on June 10 and will be streamed live through the company’s social channels, YouTube and Twitch.
