"Fortnite Battle Royale" players are excited about the upcoming changes that will improve the game and add new content. Season 2 of the popular battle royale game is coming to an end, and the next season will start tomorrow, on February 22. Season 3 of "Fortnite Battle Royale" will bring over 70 new cosmetic rewards, as well as more Battle Pass tiers, and more reward types.
However, despite all the hype for the new season, Epic Games is working on some other improvements that will make the game much better. Patch V.3.0.0 will be released soon, and it will bring many changes, numerous bug fixes, and some Building improvements.
The game developer just released a lengthy post describing building changes that will come with the new patch, and it looks that players will finally get what they've been asking for.
Turbo building
Players will be able to build even faster after the next patch drops as turbo building will allow them to quickly put down multiple building pieces. While PC players are already fast builders, this change will mostly affect console players. Basically, turbo building in "Fortnite Battle Royale" will allow players to hold down primary fire button and continuously place desired building piece on the floor.
This method will be toggled in game options, and if turned on, it will let players "spray" building pieces quickly.
Automatic material swapping
Have you ever taken fall damage after accidentally running out of material? Well, no worries! The next patch will automatically swap to another material if you run out of the current material. For example, if you are building a ramp with wood and you run out of this material, the game will automatically switch your material to stone.
This is another feature players will be able to toggle in the game options.
Building through stuff
One of the most frustrating things in "Fortnite Battle Royale" is when a building piece is blocked by an object. While smaller objects are automatically destroyed, some large objects can block building and prevent players from putting down building pieces.
However, patch V.3.0.0 will allow players to build through large objects as well, as long as their structures are still supported by the terrain or other buildings.
No more lag
The new patch will remove the lag that occurs when players are switching their building pieces. The patch will remove the lag for Battle Royale mode, but it will come soon to Save the World as well.
