Every gamer wants a quality experience and how your gear sounds plays a big part of how immersed in that experience you are. Keeping that in mind, not everyone has hundreds of dollars to blow on Audio equipment. In this article, I have chosen two of my personal favorite pieces of audio equipment that are a little easier on your budget, and still manage to give you that quality experience you so crave.

In this article, I will explain how you can have an amazing sounding PC setup for around $150. I have personally used equipment from Turtle Beaches headsets to Astro A40's and even Sennheiser's.

Your budget starts to go way up when we start talking about Astro headsets and Sennheiser's. And do not get me wrong, Turtle Beaches are pretty decent for a cheaper gaming headset, but for the price, I know you can do better in terms of quality.

HyperX Cloud Stinger Gaming Headset

Introducing the HyperX Cloud Stinger gaming headset. To start my list off, I decided to go with a quality sounding headset that also does not totally annihilate your wallet. Currently selling on Amazon for $50, this headset will definitely do the job for your audio needs. This headset is also a great gift for a friend or son/daughter as it is compatible with PC, Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, and even the Nintendo Switch. Now, you are probably wondering why you should listen to my advice as to why this is a quality headset.

At the time of writing this article, this headset has over 1500 reviews on Amazon, with a four-star rating. The HyperX Cloud's are also super comfortable, and while they are not entirely noise-canceling, they do a great job of muffling background noises.

Mackie CR Series CR3

Second on my list of quality audio tech for an affordable price, are the Mackie CR Series CR3 studio speakers.

Coming in at $99 on Amazon right now, the CR3's are easily my favorite pair of speakers for the price you pay. I think pound-for-pound they are the best-sounding speakers that are under $100. The sound quality is that good in these speakers. And do not just take my word for it. At the writing of this article, the CR3's have over 1500 reviews on Amazon, with a four-star rating.

Something that also might pique your interest is how easy they are to set up. The Mackie CR Series CR3's take around ten minutes to install, even for the technologically-impaired. The directions are super easy to follow and only require you to plug in a few cords. Pictures are available too.

So there you have it, my advice for the best sounding audio setup while also maintaining a positive amount in your bank account. At $150, you would be hardpressed to find better examples of the same quality and price range for audio gear. These two items both have over 1500 reviews on Amazon with a four-star rating. And if you did happen to run into any technical problems with either item, the Amazon pages for both are full of questions that have already been answered. Odds are your question will be on there where others might have gone wrong before you.
