Studio Wildcard is a bit mum as of late about "ARK: Survival Evolved," though teasers about the delayed "Aberration" DLC are still coming in. A new dossier has just been released and fans may already have an idea of what the creature is.

Humanoid mutations

The developer posted the image in their recent blog post. Per the post, the creature is likely to be the creature known as the Nameless. The "Aberration" announcement – that came out in September described these anomalies as "unrelenting, Element-infused humanoids which have evolved into vicious light-hating monstrosities."

That being said, a Lantern Pug is an indispensable tool when traversing the upcoming damaged Ark.

Otherwise, expect to have these horrifying mutations to be hot on the trail.

Change is coming

Studio Wildcard's latest Community Crunch also announced an upcoming Turret change. The developer pointed out that the "fundamental issue" is that tribes are maximizing the number of turrets being used while minimizing the space they occupy. Hence, "ARK's" official servers are performing more calculations in denser areas in the game.

Wildcard added that these tweaks will be implemented today on PC while these will be dropped to home consoles next week.

These platforms will be receiving an update telling players the number of turrets that they have within 10,000 units. If they exceed that number of turrets, players will get notified so they can make the needed adjustments. The developer went on stating on December 5, they'll be "flicking the switch" on "ARK's" official servers to disable the excess turrets.

They also highlighted that through this patch, it will "allow the mounted minigun turret to shoot non-mounted tames, but reduce their range to be the equivalent of the auto turret." The update will also buff the damage to auto and TEK turrets by 20 percent including the number of item slots of autoturrets by 50 percent.

Meanwhile, Wildcard revealed that "ARK: Play Anywhere" is about to enter the final submission for Windows 10, Xbox One, and Xbox One X.

The developer may well seem to have confirmed the release of the long-awaited "Aberration" expansion as they stated that the cert for "Play Anywhere" is likely to be finished sometime in December and could be rolled out alongside the DLC's release. Wildcard added that they'll be launching official servers to support CrossPlay. However, they will not enable it for the entire network due to "anti-cheat mitigations."

There's no definite date yet for "Aberration's" official release, though it is now expected to come out this December. Check out a video about "ARK: Survival Evolved" here:
