Ubisoft finally announced its plans for “Assassin's Creed Origins.” The developer said that it will release two major expansions after the October launch. According to a report by GameSpot, the two expansions are called “The Hidden Ones” and “The Curse of the Pharaohs.” The first expansion will be released in January 2018. “The Hidden Ones” expansion is set several years in the past with the Romans in a mysterious region. “The Curse of the Pharaohs” expansion will be released in March 2018. The second expansion is set in a mystical realm where players can encounter mystical creatures such as Scorpios, Anubis warriors, and much more.
Free and paid content
Ubisoft will officially launch the full version of “Assassin's Creed Origins” on October 27. The game will be playable on Xbox One, Xbox One X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro and Windows PC. The game is divided into two contents – the free, and the paid. Every player that buys the official game can access the free expansions. But only players who are willing to spend more can access the paid contents. But what are the differences between the free and paid contents?
Advantages for season pass holders
According to a report by GottaBeMobile, players who paid extra for “Assassin's Creed Origins” can get 500 Helix Credits and a Calamity Blade weapon. Players can use the Helix Credits to buy or unlock weapons and armors for their characters.
Ubisoft will release the first minor updates of the game sometime in November. The update will bring the Roman Centurion and Horus Packs. But the developer would not sell these downloadable contents without buying the Season Pass, which costs $39.99. The Origins Gold Edition and Steelbook Edition also contain the Season Pass, but for no extra cost.
What are the free contents?
Players who bought the basic “Assassin's Creed Origins” will get all the free updates, modes, and in-game activities. The first activity, to begin with, is “The Nomad’s Bazar.” Completing the said daily activity will give players new in-game contents after the official launch. Players can also use the Photo Mode and Horde Mode.
The Photo Mode allows players to capture amazing pictures and landscapes around their characters. Photo Mode also allows the players to turn off “Assassin's Creed Origins” on-screen displays or status updates so that they can capture a better view. The Horde Mode is set in a Gladiator Arena where players can challenge themselves and fight endless waves of enemies.
