It looks like subscribers of the Xbox Games With Gold program will be seeing a nice set of free games for October 2017. A hot leak has just revealed the lineup will likely include Capcom’s “Devil May Cry” and “Shadow Of Mordor” on Xbox One consoles.

Typically, Microsoft makes the announcement of the next months Xbox Games with Gold free games the last week of the current month. However, Daily Express reported that the lineup may have been leaked prior to the official reveal.

October 2017 free games leaked

The publication mentioned a leaked image that surfaced online indicating the free titles to be offered to subscribers in the month of October.

The leak claims that Xbox users will get “Devil May Cry” and “Shadow of Mordor” on Xbox One.

On the other hand, players who own Xbox 360 consoles will get “Castlevania: Lords of Shadow” and “Blood Drive.”

Schedule of release

The said leak also suggests the schedule of release of the abovementioned video games. "Devil May Cry" will be downloadable for free from October 1 until October 31 while the “Shadow of Mordor” will be available from October 16 until November 15.

The Xbox 360 players, meanwhile, will receive “Castlevania: Lords of Shadow” beginning October 1 until October 15. Then, “Blood Drive” will go live from October 1 until October 31.

The official news regarding the free games for October likely will be announced either on Monday or Tuesday this week.

So, fans will find out shortly if this leak is indeed legit. Notably, previous leaks regarding the subscriptions’ free games were proven wrong.

In related news, Microsoft’s Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program added four classic "Halo" titles to its expanding roster.

Players will be happy to know that “Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary,” “Halo 3,” Halo 3: ODST,” and “Halo 4” games are now playable on Xbox One. All four games will feature all original and multiplayer campaigns including a free DLC pack.

Also, Phil Spencer has additional good news for the fans. He confirmed that the studio is currently working on the much requested “Fable Anniversary.” It will be added to the list of Xbox One backwards compatible games soon.
