Many game developers appear to be planning the launch of their best games in the final quarter of the year, just in time for the Christmas season. The action hack-and-slash video game “Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice” was recently launched. The game earned a number of good reviews. But are there any upcoming games that will beat “Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice?”
Here are some of the most anticipated games set to launch this year.
‘Uncharted: The Lost Legacy’
The game “Uncharted: The Lost Legacy” is set to launch on August 22 for PlayStation 4. The game is developed by Naughty Dog.
Players have been patiently waiting for the game because it is the next standalone expansion to the series.
Players will the character Chloe Frazer, and the renowned mercenary Nadine Ross. Players will have the mission to recover a fabled ancient artifact to keep it out of the hands of a ruthless warmonger. The previous installment of the game was “Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.”
‘Destiny 2’
“Destiny 2” is an online multiplayer first-person shooter video game that is developed by Bungie, and will be published by Activision. The game is set to launch on September 6 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version of the game is scheduled in October.
The game is pretty much like its previous installment, but “Destiny 2” promises to provide endless hours of entertainment and countless adventurous worlds.
‘Call of Duty: WWII’
People already know that Sledgehammer Games and Activision will launch a new “Call of Duty” franchise every year. The first-person shooter video game “Call Of Duty: WWII” is set to launch on November 3 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Players will experience a classic WWII themed shooter, but there is a twist. The multiplayer mode of the game expands on different fronts not seen in the campaign. Zombie mode will also return.
‘PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds’
A lot of hardcore gamers have been rushing to purchase this incomplete game. “PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds” is developed and published by Bluehole. There is no single player campaign mode in the game. The online component will be over as soon as the player dies.
Players are very eager to play this game because it lets them participate in their own version of “The Hunger Games.” Players will be given the experience to locate their own weapons, vehicles, supplies, and fight to death.
The game is based on previous mods that were developed by Brendan Greene or also known as PlayerUnknown. Greene used 2000 film Battle Royale for inspiration. Brendan Greene expanded “PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds” into a standalone game under Greene's creative direction. The game is set to launch on December 31 for Xbox One and PC.
