Capcom is stepping up their game and will be supporting the Nintendo Switch by supplying it with its first two “Resident Evil” games. They recently announced that “Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2” will be arriving on the hybrid console later this year. So far, Capcom has shared a few details about the upcoming ports and here’s what we know so far.

The horror creeps its way to the Nintendo Switch

According to Nintendo Life, Capcom has recently announced that both “Revelations 1 and 2” will be coming to Nintendo’s latest console in “late 2017.” Both games will be part of a “Resident Evil Revelations Collection” which contains both titles.

Take note that only the first game will be available on the cartridge as the collection will provide you with a download code for the second game. Similarly, it isn’t sure if Capcom has plans of making a physical copy for the “Revelations 2.” Moreover, this physical copy will cost $39.99 when it officially launches.

If you plan on buying the games separately, Capcom will make both games available in the eShop. Each game will cost $19.99 each, so you can choose to buy 1 or 2 instead. Both games feature a 1920x1080 resolution, better framerate, increased environmental details, and improved “creature movement,” as per Eurogamer. This version also comes with Raid Mode and includes a new stage called The Ghost Ship: Chaos.

Finally, “Resident Evil Revelation 1 and 2” on the Nintendo Switch will include four controller schemes based on control types from across the entire series.

What is ‘Revalations 1 and 2’?

These two spinoffs from the series feature fan-favorite characters like Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton, and Claire Redfield as they fight against bioterrorism.

The first game centered on Chris and Jill as they explore a ghost ship called the Queen Zenobia. You’ll learn more about the BSAA throughout the game along with a new outbreak incident called the “Terragrigia Panic.”

Revelations 2,” on the other hand, focuses on Claire and Barry who explore a deserted area called Rockfort island.

Claire’s campaign takes place six months in the past as she and Moira try to find a way to escape from the horrors in the island. Meanwhile, Barry makes his way to the area to try and find his daughter who was presumed dead. He meets a little girl named Natalia who has a certain power to point and seek out monsters behind walls. The two must then work together to find Moira and try to find a way to escape.
