Microsoft might be pushing too hard in selling the Xbox One X after its official website stopped selling the Original Xbox One. According to the Financial Express, the company's online store has listed the console as "sold out" and it seems like it cannot be found in other retail stores. Microsoft has not confirmed whether they are planning to phase out the original console or that it's out of stock and will be back soon.

The anticipation of the new console is exemplary, but there are others who still prefer the original Xbox One. Money wise, the original console is still cheaper than the Project Scorpio version; something that fans can still turn to in case they cannot afford the brand new version.

Unfortunately, it is currently unavailable and fans may have to settle for the white, Xbox One S version.

Xbox One vs PS4 price

The Xbox One X is said to be 40 percent more powerful than the original and it's currently priced at $499.99 with no bundled game. The PS4, on the other hand, can be purchased starting at $299; a price that is much cheaper than the original console. Apparently, Microsoft is capitalizing on the success of the units preordered online that they are ceasing the sales of the original Xbox One. " Aaron Greenberg of Microsoft said: "We expected out inventory to last for about a week, but we sold out in less than a day."

Last week, Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One X in Germany followed by the announcement of pre-orders online.

Preorders were immediately maxed out, surprising the company with its unprecedented success in Europe. Now, it looks like the US customers are left with only one choice, which is not bad if not for the steep price of the new powerful console.
