Upcoming content

Game developer Illfonic has recently announced several details about the upcoming content of “Friday the 13th: The Game.” The information came from the game’s newly launched website. Among the interesting details includes a new playable Jason. The game developer did not share any specifics about the new playable character. However, it revealed that the new killer will showcase unique kills.

In addition, all versions of Jason Vorhees in the game will receive new kills.

Along with the arrival of the new playable Jason is the removal of the Retro Jason. It was released in June 2017. According to Illfonic, they would like to give it a little TLC work that will take about a month. However, the Retro Jason will be re-released soon with new music that plays for players when in a match.

Other additions

Aside from the new playable Jason Vorhees, several maps are in the works. However, the game developer noted that one of the maps will be launched sooner than expected. The new map will also be released for free. Illfonic said that the map will be taken from one of the movies of the franchise.

Aside from those, a couple of new counselors will also be released soon. The game developer hinted that the counselors could be new or existing characters from the franchise. Players will be able to customize the looks of these counselors with a new clothing pack. There are also bikinis and swimsuits that will be included in the Beach-themed DLC, which will launch in the game soon.

The swimwear will be available at a discounted price of $2 for a limited time offer.

In addition, a free emotes pack with eight different gestures will be released in the game. This includes the fan-favorite enthusiastic thumbs-up. It will coincide with the latest infusion of a new UI gestures, which will enable players to choose emotes for each Counselor.

Single Player mode and Team-Killing

While the upcoming additions are interesting, Gun Media and Illfonic have not yet made any statement about the much-awaited single player mode of “Friday the 13th: The Game.” The previous announcement noted that the mode will be done by the end of summer. Several players are also complaining about the team-killing in public games that has been scrapped by the game developer. With the exception of the car and the bear trap, some players complained about still getting killed by other counselors using the car.
