Friday the 13th: The Game” is going to have fresh content soon. Gun Media confirmed that there would be three new maps that players can explore along with new emotes. Moreover, Team-Killing will no longer be allowed in Public Games while the Single-Player content is in the works.

Upcoming content

Friday the 13th: The Game” has received heavy criticisms during its official release because some players view the game as incomplete at launch.

Despite the criticism, the game developer has been consistently making up for what it lacks through patches and fresh content releases. Details about the content coming to the game were announced on the game’s official Twitter account.

The upcoming content will include three new map variants that players can explore and run around. These upcoming maps will be 40 percent smaller than the maps currently available in the game. Given the size, the game will most likely run much faster, and players will have limited place to run and hide making it a more thrilling experience.

In addition to the three new maps, players will also get eight new emotes for the asymmetrical horror title soon.

The upcoming emotes will allow players to use three new varying reactions, Follow Me, No, and Okay. While these appear to be simple, these new emotes are very effective especially in times when you need to escape from Jason Vorhees.

Team-Killing

Aside from the New content, Gun Media and Illfonic will also release changes in the Team-Killing in Public Games. According to the game developer, Team-Killing in the Public Games will no longer be allowed. However, this will not apply to Private games. While there are changes in team-killing, the game developer noted that the car and the bear-trap in the game are still available. This means that these two can still foster killing of Counselors in the game.

Release date

As of this writing, Gun Media has not yet provided any timeline for the release of this new content. However, it will be included in the upcoming patch scheduled to release in the game anytime soon. The content will most probably be free for all players.

Aside from changes in team-killing and fresh content coming soon, the game developer is also working on the Single-Player content. Players are anticipating that more updates and fixes will roll out soon in the game as Gun Media and Illfonic continues to improve the game. “Friday the 13th: The Game” is currently available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
