Insomniac Games’ PlayStation 4 exclusive game, “Spider-Man” will introduce anti-heroes that can prompt players to mix up playing strategies. The studio recently revealed their choice of Villains that will fight against players in the highly anticipated action-adventure game.

Recently, Insomniac games revealed the first villain that the web-slinging hero will fight in “Spider-Man.” After many speculations, Mr. Negative and his Inner Demons will be introduced. Among the long list of Peter Parker's rogue gallery, the latest villain is one of the most unpopular personalities in the history of the spider-inspired hero.

In an interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine, Insomniac Games’ creative director Bryan Intihar explained the studio’s choice. His interview also revealed the kind of anti-heroes that players will most likely encounter in the game.

He said that the Inner Demons were chosen because these villains have the weapons spewing negative energy, which entails players to mix up their strategies. Intihar added that the studio would like to force players to be more creative in playing the game and not just stick with the usual strategies. He further said that among their questions during the game’s development includes asking how they can challenge the players and how can they require them to mix their strategies.

What can players expect from the game?

The creative director’s explanation simply underlines the fact that the villains will not be the usual anti-hero that fans have grown to know. The studio previously revealed that the game will have a huge cast of numerous classic and fresh villains. In other words, it is a given that fans will see in the game the classic Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, and Venom.

However, it is also expected that other intriguing villains like Mysterio, Sandman, and Kraven could most possibly be in the game as well.

Aside from that revelation, the studio also hinted that they prefer to create situations where the web-slinging hero could save somebody. As early as this point, fans have an idea that most likely, saving ordinary humans will play a major part in the upcoming action-adventure title.

There are also recent speculations that Miles Morales might be included in the game. According to several claims, Peter Parker hinted on the character in the end scene of the trailer. The PlayStation 4 exclusive game is slated to release in 2018. Currently, the game developer has not yet revealed the specific release date.
