Junkrat is a great Character in Overwatch for anyone looking to play the game using mainly explosives. Yet the player will now have new updates that will allow him to be far more effective and capable than ever before.

What are the past problems?

While Junkrat has been a somewhat deadly character, he has had his setbacks as a gamer's first choice. There was a time when the Junkrat's were vulnerable to their very own blasts, making the demolition experts much less effective.

This apparent flaw was fixed back in March with some updates according to PVP Live.

This is what PVPTwitch, one of the top Junkrat players, had to say....

Despite this fix, the demolition experts still had a lot of problems that had yet to be addressed. Their slow missile speed and poor arcing curve made playing as a Junkrat a real grind. Junkrat's were relatively useless in far range attacks (which is ironic due to the fact their attacks revolve around explosives). Junkrat's have just not been a very mobile character in the past and has been relatively useless against characters with any sort of bomb resistance.

New updates are coming for the character though and the seem to not only fix the Junkrat's past problems but also make the beloved zany character insanely effective.

What are the updates?

Perhaps the most remarkable change to all of this is the fact that Junkrat will now have extremely great and tactical close in speed, making it easy for him to use his explosives from afar.

Designer Geoff Goodman described the changes, as giving Junkrat more mobility, as he described the updates.

"[You can now] launch yourself into a fight and still have a charge to escape with, or launch yourself up into a Pharah and still have a charge to try and kill her with. Previously this was possible before but you had to plant one on the ground and then wait for the cooldown to come back before doing this.

That is still possible, which allows for a triple jump now if you want/need that, but now it is a lot more reliable to do with 2. It has been a ton of fun to play with so far," Goodman said according to PVP Live.

There is also speculation that the designers will try to make other characters faster as well. Overall the changes seem to make the character Junkrat just faster and practical in the explosive attacks. Not only are his attacks dynamic, now so too is his footwork!

The character will have much better jumping skills just making him much easier to play with. This character may soon become more lethal than ever before and even more of a fan favorite.
