Sledgehammer Games introduced a new addition to the highly anticipated Zombies Mode of “Call Of Duty: WWII.” As the co-op mode is nearing its grand reveal, it appears that more details are beginning to surface online. Among them includes the introduction of the “Dr. Who” actor David Tennant as one of the cast in the upcoming mode.

Latest announcement

On the game’s official Twitter account, it announced David Tennant as one of the cast members of the game’s Zombies Mode. Sledgehammer Games confirmed the information along with the acknowledgment of the 10th Doctor’s role in the first-person shooter title.

The latest announcement is part of the hype campaign for the upcoming reveal of the game’s Zombies Mode. Moreover, it is an apt time since “Doctor Who” will be announcing the franchise’s 13th doctor. The tweet revealed that Tennant would portray the character named Drostan Hynd. So far, the character is not yet revealed in the teasers released for “Call of Duty: WWII.” Most likely, the game developer would just use clues for fans to be able to discover it.

The recent reveal sparked different speculations.

Among these includes the claim that the family name of the character is very uncommon and could be potentially derived from Saint Drostan. Popularly known as a healer, St. Drostan reportedly made miraculous cures even beyond his death. It could also be possible that the game developer is just fond of a Scottish name.

Leaks

Earlier today, a leak surfaced online claiming that the upcoming mode will be officially called Army of the Dead.

The leak also revealed that the highly anticipated mode would not only feature Nazi zombies but also zombies who were medically enhanced. In other words, these zombies have been experimented in the laboratories. With the details revealed in the latest leak, it appears that Drostan Hynd will be most likely one of the playable characters in the game’s co-op mode.

Players can pick him to be a character that will fight against the Army of the Dead. This will give the character a perspective to experience the terrifying things that players will see and do while playing the title. As sledgehammer puts it, the mode is dark, which means that Drostan Hynd will most likely be one of the British soldiers caught in the middle of the Nazi nightmarish Army of the Dead.

Call of Duty: WWII” will be officially released on November 3, 2017. The first-person shooter title will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
