The highly anticipated Ragnarok expansion of “Ark: Survival Evolved” has a new release date on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. This was announced after the patch for the Microsoft’s console version of the game has met several delays.
New release date
The previous week has been a busy work week for Studio Wildcard as the game developer tried to resolve many bugs and issues that were introduced in the game’s Xbox One version of “Ark: Survival Evolved.” The issues progressed, and the studio has to address it putting other projects in line on hold.
Because of this, the release of the patch for the PlayStation 4 version of the game has been delayed. The studio needs to fix the bugs in the Xbox One patch first before releasing the PS4 update so as to prevent the same issues happening in the Japanese console. The update for PlayStation 4 is scheduled to be released on July 12.
Moreover, the much-awaited Ragnarok expansion was given a new release date. Set to release on consoles, the upcoming mod expansion is expected to be available by July 19. However, the dates given by Studio Wildcard are not always accurate, and the releases are not always on time. In most cases, they are delayed.

The highly anticipated patch v758 for the Xbox One version of the game was also made available following the PC patch.
What is the studio’s current priority?
According to Studio Wildcard, their main objective at present is to arrive at a good state for the Xbox players. If the patch deployed for the console becomes stable and will not meet any issues in the game or crash, the game developer can then port the changes with abstraction to PlayStation 4.
Moreover, the developer noted that after the PS4 patch release, they will wrap up their progress for Ragnarok on the same console. Players who are using the PC platform do not need to worry since the expansion will also be released on PC. Right now, the studio is still focusing on the game’s console build, and pushing the game versions to excellent state.
The studio also assured players that the Ragnarok map including the improvements and fixes will be released soon in “Ark: Survival Evolved.” The team is just asking for more time from the community. While there is a great chance that these new release dates could meet delays and get postponed, fans are optimistic that they can enjoy the updates soon.
