For generations, people have believed that Santa Claus is a man. The jolly old elf has always been depicted as a man of Norwegian descent but in recent years a debate has been sparked over whether the depiction should be changed. A new poll surfaced on Twitter saying that more than a quarter of people in the US believes Santa should be depicted as a woman or non-gendered. The social media site reacted about how one might expect.

'This all makes sense'
One Twitter user just made it clear the people in the poll aren't making a ton of sense with that answer.

A different spin on the poll
Another Twitter user made it clear that the lede appears to have been buried.
So the majority of people believe Santa should remain a man. Great reporting CBS.
