SUVs are ultimately made for those who intend to carry more passengers. This is very much ideal for those with larger families who love to do road trips together. With so many crossovers to choose from, finding the right one may be a difficult task.
Even luxury brands are joining in, adding more choices in this already crowded vehicle segment. However, some brands effortlessly stand out compared to others -- including BMW. This German auto maker is known for its exceptional and cutting-edge vehicles.
BMW has already solidified its place in the sedan segment.
It is even all set to launch its full electric 3-series sedan to compete with Tesla and the luxury 8-series sports coupe soon.
BMW is now all set to conquer the Crossover segment. The 2018 Bmw X5 is a good addition to the crossover line up. It comes with impressive updates to make fans excited. BMW also has a steady following, so it is sure to be a big hit.
However, it does not come in perfectly just like all other vehicles. While many may consider this crossover without thinking twice, some have their share of reservations.
X5: Good but not too good...
This is evidenced by The Car Connection's rating. The reliable site gave the 2018 BMW X5 an overall 7.2 points out of 10. It received the highest mark of eight points under Comfort and Quality and Features categories.
It also received a score of seven for Styling and Performance.
However, the 2018 X5 is weak in some important aspects. Even if it received seven points for its Styling, some think that it falls flat. Many think that it lacks the much-needed character to make it stand out from the rest of its competitors.
While having a third row option is considered genius, this may not be entirely the case for the X5.
There is not much space left for those seated on the third row. Such an option may only be used in extreme cases, as otherwise it will be utterly uncomfortable.
The 2018 BMW X5 has a good number of engines available, which is more like a double-edged sword. A car buyer has to be entirely sure of the choice, otherwise one may be left looking for more.
End of the day, it is still a good choice!
Its power is incredible. Engine options are the 3.0-liter engine turbo-6, 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8, 3.0-liter turbodiesel, and a plug-in hybrid. Its V-8 engine can produce 567-horsepower output, which is commendable. Its diesel engine option is exceptionally fuel efficient as well.
More often than not, one can't go wrong in choosing any BMW vehicle. This is definitely the case for the 2018 BMW X5. It may not be an entirely perfect crossover, but it still remains better compared to most of its competitors.
