The New York PropTech week was a game changer for the global Real Estate industry. The main event, MIPIM PropTech NYC, the world’s leading technology event co-hosted by MIPIM and MetaProp NYC was the main attraction and gathered key industry decision makers from all the value chain to connect with cutting-edge startups and technology companies to take their business to the next level and build the future of Property.
From Property giants like Lennar International and Swire Properties to high scalable new business models like Archilyse bringing innovation to property appraisals, Propy developing blockchain transactions or Dynamic Referral System Corporation with it’s REEVO Platform aggregating real estate services and allowing everyone to generate leads, the brainstorm between them may change the way world deals with this market.
More than 2000 attendees and 200 growth stage startups the world of real estate industry got their eyes in New York all week, with several events across the city and private networking parties by night.
“The investors, strategics, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders are so engaged in all of the events. It's like the Davos of Real Estate Tech.", said Zach Aarons from Millenium Partners.
For all we know several partnership agreements and fusions were established in times of great uncertainty regarding the future of property industry.
The panel of sponsors was also impressive with Blackstone, Goodwin and Capital One being the most well known.
The Finnish Embassy also made a parallel event to mark this innovation week showcasing Nordic startups such as Unrealer, a new marketing concept for real estate that is proving to be highly efficient by joining real estate professionals and artists from around Europe.
Informal meetups in downtown Manhattan also bought together the leaders of top edge tech companies who had the chance to exchange ideas and maybe define the future of real estate. Wouter Truffino from Holland Contech and PropTech was an example of a great participant in such events.
Mipim PropTech will keep having several editions but this one marks the beginning of a revolution on the global real estate industry.
The event brought innovation to mature giant groups and opportunities to well-structured startups what leads to major evolution to this industry that has suffered few technological changes over the past three decades. One thing is common thinking between all the players, it’s all to increase customer satisfaction.
