SM Entertainment recently released EXO's new album and the group is already making waves throughout the world. Shortly after they released "The War," countless pre-orders raked in the revenue, and now the group has achieved another record-breaking feat.

EXO dominates worldwide iTunes Music Album Charts

It was just revealed that as soon as SM Entertainment released EXO's new album, "The War," the group dominated music charts left and right. One of their biggest accomplishments as a Korean pop idol group is becoming the only Korean artists to take the top spots in iTunes' Worldwide Albums Charts in more than 40 countries.

The record-breaking feat was achieved as of July 19, including countries such as Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan. It's understandable that EXO would attract millions of listeners in Asia but it was amazing to find out that their new music even topped the charts in several countries on other continents.

Aside from topping the music charts in at least 41 countries, "The War" also took the second spot on the iTunes album chart in Brazil, France, and the United States. This is the biggest iTunes achievement for any K-pop act.

EXO dominates South Korean music charts

In addition to taking the top spot on music charts all over the world, EXO has also taken the no.1 spot on various South Korean music charts.

Shortly after their new album and title track, "Ko Ko Bop" were released, the lead single nabbed the top spot in Soribada, Melon, Genie, Naver, Bugs, and Olleh. The song took the sixth spot on Mnet's music charts.

The group explored a different concept musically with their title track, describing it as "reggae pop," which is laid-back compared to their previous hit songs.

"Ko Ko Bop" isn't the only song doing well, as it was revealed that the rest of their new songs have ranked in the top 10 on various South Korean music charts.

Prior to their official comeback, EXO vowed that they would dominate the music scene with their return. Their new album was released on July 18 at 6PM (KST), consisting of nine new tracks.

The group also achieved a new record in terms of pre-orders for their new album, which received more than 800,000 pre-orders. They held the previous record with their previous album, "EX'ACT," which had at least 600,000 pre-orders. What do you think of the new album?
