Amber Portwood is done with social media -- at least for now. On Tuesday evening, after a series of rants against her former boyfriend, Gary Shirley, the father of her nine-year-old daughter Leah, and MTV, the "Teen Mom OG" star announced to her online audience that she would be taking a much-needed break from Twitter and Instagram and laying low as she awaits the birth of her baby boy.

"Taking a long needed break from social media and focusing more time on positive energy and low stress for me and my baby," Amber Portwood wrote to her fans and followers on Instagram on January 16.

"Sending all my love," she added.

What did Amber Portwood tell fans before quitting social media?

Amber Portwood's exit from social media came just after the reality star and pregnant mother took aim at those criticizing her parenting, claiming that she takes good care of her daughter and has already saved up money for Leah Shirley's college. Portwood also explained that she spent three weeks away from her daughter because she was filming a reality show and making money.

During a recent episode of "Teen Mom OG," Amber Portwood's former boyfriend Gary Shirley took aim at her absence from Leah's life and even spoke to his wife, Kristina Anderson, about possibly adopting the child. According to Shirley, Portwood began spending a lot of time away from Leah, and away from her home in Indiana, when she began dating Andrew Glennon.

Amber Portwood and Andrew Glennon began dating last summer

After meeting one another on the set of "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition," the couple began dating one another and spending their time between Portwood's home in Indianapolis, Indiana and Glennon's home in Los Angeles, California. Now, however, months after Portwood confirmed to her fans and followers on social media that she is expecting a child with Glennon, they appear to be living together.

That said, they haven't stopped traveling and in addition to a vacation in Malibu last month, Portwood and Glennon were also seen driving an RV to an unnamed destination.
