Joy's weight gain poses danger

Before marriage, the "Counting On" celebrity lost so much weight, at mother Michelle Duggar's urging, that folks questioned anorexia. But now, "19 Kids and Counting" fans fear another eating disorder: overeating. Doctors advise a 25-30-lb weight gain in pregnancy or 45 pounds for twins as maternal obesity is linked to gestational diabetes and preeclampsia.

Reality television stars like Kim Kardashian have gained 70-80 pounds and then lost it. Seeing celebrities bounce back so quickly has given the impression it's safe. They forget the liposuction, plastic surgery, and tummy tuck involved.

The Duggar Family kept mum over Josh Duggar's molestation and Derick Dillard's recent scandal. Yet even Jeremy Vuolo, who proudly flaunts his wife Jinger Duggar breaking the "19 Kids and Counting" dress code, is less of a persona non grata than Derick and Jill Dillard.
