Lady Gaga has made last-minute cancellations of her supposed performance in a musical event in Brazil, according to BBC. The pop singer revealed via her Instagram account that she has been hospitalized.

The international singing sensation told fans via Instagram that she is suffering from “severe pain” due to fibromyalgia. It is a condition associated with chronic pain all over the body, particularly in the muscles, bones and tender areas, Healthline noted.

“Brazil, I’m devastated that I’m not well enough to come to ‘Rock In Rio’... I have to take care of my body right now,” Lady Gaga wrote.

She also asked fans for their understanding and promised to come back in her best health soon. She included a photo of an IV inserted into her arm.

Lady Gaga’s health

Fibromyalgia is just one of the health conditions that the singer is expected to reveal in her new documentary titled “Gaga: Five Foot Two.” The documentary will be aired on Netflix beginning September 22.

Lady Gaga has previously canceled her Montreal concert tour as well after suffering from a respiratory illness. The illness has been described as “respiratory infection and laryngitis.”

She was supposed to perform in her “Joanne” world tour at the North American city and was just prompted to make-up to the fans by treating them with free pizza set outside her hotel in Canada.

The fans just headed from the venue to her hotel to sing some songs and eat the pizza treat. However, the singer just waved from her hotel window on top of the building, sending her wishes to the fans who stayed on the ground floor.

She also added that the respiratory illness came from performing outdoors under the rain showers at the Citi Field in New York City, The Huffington Post reported.

Lady Gaga was supposed to perform at the 18th edition of “Rock In Rio,” a music show annually held in Brazil. The line-up also includes Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, 5 Seconds of Summer and Def Leppard, the report added. The music festival in Brazil will run for two weekends. The first set is happening from Friday, September 15 to Sunday, September 17.

The final batch of performers are set to grace the event from Thursday, September 21 to Sunday, September 24, PR News Wire added.
