Robert Pattinson, 31, is best known for his lead role in “The Twilight Saga” as the vampire Edward Cullen, which is based on Stephenie Meyer’s novel of the same name. He apparently shot to fame through this film following his role as Cedric Diggory in 2005 flick “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” He was also named as one of the 100 Most Influential People in The World by Time Magazine and Forbes’ one of the most powerful celebrities in 2010. The movie where he starred with Kristen Stewart has made him one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood.
However, what everyone doesn’t know is that he also dreamt of being Jamie Dornan’s Christian Grey in the “fifty shades” franchise.
R-Patz wanted to be Mr. Grey
The Sunday Mirror spoke with Robert Pattinson who said that he already met the “Fifty Shades” author E L James before in Chateau Marmont. During a “drunken” night, he spoke with the infamous author and admitted that he could have landed the role of Christian Grey. “Her friend told me, ‘That is [the author], she wrote ‘Fifty Shades of Grey,” he said. “I was a little bit drunk and I literally kept forcing her to tell me every one of her fantasies and it was fun. I was absolutely terrified.” The role though was given to Jamie Dornan, 35, who still makes fans go crazy about him to this date.
R-Patz, however, said that he was glad he didn’t take the chance of taking the role due to the character’s physical requirements.
Robert Pattinson said that being Christian Grey will require him to work out a lot and he knows that it’s going to be exhausting. He sure goes to the gym but he certainly is not a gym rat and admitted that he doesn’t understand why there are people who work out too much.
What’s more interesting is that he also revealed that he tried to steal one or two porn VHS tapes during his school days but was caught by the staff in the shop. R-Patz admitted that it was terribly embarrassing being caught with that stuff. True but it’s still cute.
R-Patz is now engaged – “kind of”
Recently, Robert Pattinson told Howard Stern during “The Howard Stern Show” that he is kind of engaged to his current girlfriend, FKA Twigs.
He revealed this following numerous speculation that they’ve been engaged since 2015. However, R-Patz said that because of “professional trolls,” things get difficult sometimes because his fiancée faces racial disparagement only because she is dating him. Haters gonna hate, Rob.
