Just over a month ago, the Chinese brand, UMIDIGI, released photos for the UMIDIGI One series, which also showcased the designs of the devices. The company published a video on Wednesday, (June 18), and featured a hands-on video for this latest addition to the smartphone family.

Previously, the company campaigned around the UMIDIGI Z2 Pro and organized several contests. In addition, they offered a first-come-first-serve basis discount on the smartphone.

The video for the newest product line features the One series in two colors. One UMIDIGI hand-held device comes in their Gradient Twilight finish and the other as Carbon Fiber. The screen resolution is one of the highlights and offers sharp, and vivid colors.

Specs and configurations for the One Series

Both of these smartphones come with a 5.9-inch full display. The technology that was built for these smartphones offers a sharp and vivid image.

The UMIDIGI One comes with 4GB of Ram and is loaded with the Android OS 8.1. The performance is smooth for multitasking. According to Gizmochina, the side of the device has a fingerprint sensor along with dual speakers.

In regards to compatibility, the smartphone supports major carriers for global use. Do check beforehand to make sure your cell phone provider offers service and coverage.

UMIDIGI One Pro also comes with dual cameras. The two cameras have a resolution of 12-megapixel and a 5-megapixel.

Differences between the standard and Pro versions

The UMIDIGI One Pro is equipped with NFC and 15W wireless charging combo. As reported by Gizmochina, the One Pro has a smaller battery at 3250mAh instead of 3550mAh in the standard model. Also, when it comes to storage or capacity the Pro has 64GB instead of 32GB. Storage is an important selling point and users like to have plenty of hard drive space on their touchscreen devices.

Umidigi is recruiting 10 trial users for the UMIDIGI One Series

This approach of running contests and campaigns pays off when customers get involved. The smartphone brand announced a giveaway on its website. To date, there are 52,278 participants interested in becoming trial users. Those who enter the contest will be randomly selected.

UMIDIGI will select from among ten trial users, and more details will be revealed in the following days or weeks. How these brand new smartphones perform will ultimately depend on the launch of future models. It will be interesting to see where the brand expands next.
