Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Note 8 phablet on August 23 at the “Unpacked” event. Just as it is getting around dealing with pre-order and shipping of the handset, rumors regarding its 2018 flagship have already begun. The firm is currently in the news for apparently starting work on its Galaxy S8 successor. According to TrustedReviews, Samsung is Expected to introduce the flagship offering towards the beginning of next year, preferably in January. If this turns out to be true, then it will be a whole month earlier than when Samsung usually launches.

The speculated design of the smartphone

Smartphone concept creators have already started working up creative artworks around samsung galaxy S9. The latest third-party concept of the device has revealed the possible design of the handset. Popular YouTube channel, DBS DESIGNING posted a video recently that showcases Galaxy S9 in its full glory. The Samsung-branded handset can be seen packing up a bezel-less design. Additionally, the smartphone includes all kinds of basic connectivity options possible, including a Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The speaker is on the front panel of the smartphone.

Right next to the speaker, there’s a new set of sensors. According to a report by Android Headlines, the smartphone seems to feature a body made out of metal and glass.

One can’t get a proper judgment of the size of its display through the video but a wild guess says it might pack up the same size as Galaxy Note 8. Galaxy Note 8 featured an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone was further complimented by a QHD+ resolution. The company was expected to include an under-the-display fingerprint scanner next year.

Unfortunately, the handset in the concept video showcases the fingerprint scanner as placed next to the camera module.

A couple of things that remains certain

Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphone will possibly come with Android Oreo running directly out-of-the-box. Storage-wise, the South Korean giant won’t bring about a lot of changes, which is another major drawback.

Samsung will include a 6GB of RAM option along with 128GB of ROM. The smartphone will feature a dual rear camera setup with two 18-megapixel sensors. This will be complemented by a 13-megapixel front sensor. It is rumored to house a 3,600mAh battery. Sadly enough, the handset doesn’t look like a thing out of the future. There’s not much difference between Galaxy S8 and Note 8 smartphones.
