iOS 10 Jailbreak release

Yalu was known to be the first iOS 10 jailbreak app as it was released back in December 2016 by the famous hacker Luca Todesco who was also known by his twitter account “qwertyuiop.” He then released better and more stable version of the jailbreak tool for iOS 10.3, using Ian Beer’s extra_recipe exploit, early in 2017.

Users need to utilize a PC application or CI to install Yalu jailbreak as it will be a semi-untethered jailbreak. Hence, the patched kernel will be completely wiped out once the device reboots. However, the Yalu tool has some limitations that require the users to reinstall it again every seven days.

Currently, the Yalu tool was patched for iOS 10.2.1 and iOS 10.3. Since the release of iOS 10.2 jailbreaks, there is still no possible way to jailbreak iOS 10.2.1 or any upward version completely.

iOS 11 beta jailbroken

According to iPhone Hacks, a positive news has been released from the security researchers group that demoed a functional jailbreak for the iOS 10.3.2 and 11 beta two firmware at the 2017 MOSEC or Mobile Security Conference.

The tool was created by Liang Chen of Tencent Keen Lab.

The post explained that if the iOS 11’s beta version has been jailbroken, fans can hope that the result would be the same when the latest iOS is released. Even though the team has successfully jailbroken the iOS 10.3.2 and 11, the jailbreaks were only created for research purposes. With this, the hacker team might not release the tool to the public. However, fans are still expecting that other hackers would be able to discover new exploits to develop an iOS 11 jailbreak tool.
