huawei has confirmed the unveiling of Mate 10 and 10 Pro. According to a report by VentureBeat, these two smartphones are going to pack up a larger-than-usual display and their cameras will be of major focus. Two of the unidentified Huawei models have shown up online with model-names, “Alps,” and “Blanc,” just ahead of its launch. It is not clear whether these two are different models or are the same as Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro.

Last year, Huawei launched four smartphones in its Mate-series, which include Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro, Mate 9 (Porsche Design) and Mate 9 Lite.

Huawei is launching Mate 10 in the US as iPhone 8's competitor. Apple will take to the stage on 12 September to introduce its iPhone 8. It will be interesting to see the rivalry between two upcoming flagship smartphones.

Blanc or Mate 10 Pro

As noted by Android Headlines, the smartphone manufacturer at IFA, 2017 (Berlin) confirmed that the said smartphones will officially be unveiled at an event on October 16. The latest leak confirms that 10 Pro will be a premium version, whereas Mate 10 will serve as the standard model. The prediction further confirms that the Mate 10 Pro will feature a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display.

This makes it similar to what has appeared on Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG V30. In the storage department, the handset will offer 6GB of RAM along with 64GB of inbuilt memory.

There will also be a 128GB ROM option. Both the phones will be powered by the latest Kirin 970 octa-core processor, clocked at 2.5GHz. The smartphone is going to include a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel and a 20-megapixel sensor, powered by Leica camera technology. There will an 8-megapixel front sensor. The handset will be home to a large 4,000mAh battery and will run on Android Oreo out-of-the-box, with EMUI 6.0 skin on top.

The devices could also feature USB-C Type for the connectivity.

Alps or Mate 10

Huawei’s device will be a slightly sobered down version of its bigger sibling. The smartphone is expected to feature a similar 5.88-inch IPS LCD display but with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 16:9. On the storage front, the handset is expected to offer 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of inbuilt storage.

The device will also house a 4,000mAh battery with Android Oreo out-of-the-box and EMUI 6.0 skin on top. There might be a minor downgrade in terms of its camera. Customers have to wait a bit more for both phones, stay tuned for more.
