The OnePlus 5 Android smartphone may have only been launched by the tech company in June, but the smartphone universe is already looking ahead at the company’s next exciting mobile device release, the OnePlus 6 smartphone. Concept creator, Upcoming Phones, shared a video of the handset that showcased its features, including the handset’s glowing logo.
The launch of the company’s next flagship device may be some time away, but that hasn’t stopped designers from conceptualizing the smartphone’s design and specs. However, as the recently surfaced video of the OnePlus 6 is purely a concept design, the smartphone could arrive quite different compared to the real deal.
The concept design showcased that the OnePlus company may be focusing on offering a bezel-less display smartphone just like Samsung’s newly-announced Galaxy Note 8. Gizbot reported that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer might be launching the handset next year.
However, aside from the OnePlus 6 smartphone’s glowing notifications, the concept video also showed some interesting touches. For instance, the device will feature an almost bezel-less design. The smartphone will come along with a dual-rear camera setup, with 25MP cameras in a vertical position, and a 16MP front-facing dual camera. By comparison, the current device is available with a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 20MP as well as 16MP sensors, and its front-facing camera has a 16MP.
Specs of the device
The concept video of the OnePlus 6 smartphone also provided the specs of the device. The handset is expected to arrive with a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display. The device will be equipped with a 4,000 mAh battery, wireless charging and a retina scanner.
The handset might run on the Android Oreo operating system.
The smartphone is anticipated to be available in different color options - Pearl White, Gold and Jet Black. According to Techno Buffalo, the mobile device will feature an IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. Notably, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer hasn't rolled out such a handset to date, and its upcoming smartphone could be the first device to be IP certified.
Smartphone with in-screen fingerprint scanner
One of the concept video’s most interesting features seems to be the inclusion of an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Several smartphone manufacturers are planning to launch their devices with the technology next year. If OnePlus company does not implement the in-screen fingerprint feature, it might turn out to be the tech giant’s disadvantage in terms of rivalry.
