Consumers are currently waiting for the next smartphone hardware refresh from Asus. The Taiwanese electronics manufacturer is expected to launch its ZenFone 4 lineup this month. Even before its launch, several reports have already speculated that the company will release the following models. The new series will most likely include the ZenFone 4, 4V, Pro, 4 Selfie, and the 4 Selfie Pro. However, the ZenFone 4 Max model was revealed ahead of the rest last summer in Russia. The official product page seems to have posted the pricing and specifications for the two Selfie models.

Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie specifications

The entry-level model of the selfie-centered smartphones bears the model number ZD553KL. The ZenFone Selfie is powered by 1.4Ghz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. It comes equipped with a 4GB RAM and a 64GB internal memory. A microSD card slot is also available if the user wants a bigger storage. Its touchscreen is a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with HD resolution. The smartphone depends on a 3,000mAh battery for its power requirements.

Marketed as a selfie-centric handset, the device flaunts two front-facing cameras with an LED flash module. One sensor is 20-megapixel and the other is an 8-megapixel shooter. Meanwhile, its main camera is a 16-megapixel unit with an LED flash component as well.

The Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie sports a matte-textured metal enclosure with rounded corners and antenna lines on its back, which looks similar previous Apple smartphone models. Its volume rocker and power button are located on its right side, while the left houses its SIM tray. The top side is bare and its bottom area is populated by a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port, and a speaker grille.

Its body measures 155.66mm x 75.9mm x 7.85mm and is priced at $351 USD

Selfie Pro Specifications

Just like its lower-tier sibling, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro, model number D552KL, features almost the same design and specifications, except for a few notable ones. Its front-facing dual-cameras are a 24-megapixel and 5-megapixel combo with an LED flash as well.

The display resolution has been upped to a full-HD 1920 x 1080. The processor has also been bumped up to a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 unit. Its measurements have also been reduced to 154.02mm x 74.3mm x 7mm with a price of $469 USD. Both models will run on Android Nougat with a ZenUI overlay. The phones are estimated to become available sometime in this month.
