After introducing nokia 3, 5 and 6 smartphones; the Finnish technology giant is now expected to introduce Nokia’s 8 and 9 high-end smartphones. The device manufacturer is also heavily-speculated to be working on an entry-level Nokia 2 smartphone, and it appears like the handset has already made its way onto the official Federal Commission Committee website. The handset has been spotted on the official FCC website, with several of the official images as well as primary specifications of the device already leaked. The strange part about the recent spotting is the fact that it does the sport any official Nokia branding.

There are two possibilities to this, it is probably not the authentic Nokia smartphone or the second possibility is that the device might just be a prototype, with the final version still in the making.

FCC posting plus rumored design of the smartphone

As per the information that can be gathered on the basis of the FCC posting, is the fact that the Nokia 2 smartphone seems to pack a single speaker located on the bottom side of the device. The smartphone is also equipped with an LED flash right next to the single rear camera on the rear end of the device. Apart from this, the earpiece sits on the bottom, while the front camera is placed on the top hand corner of the smartphone.

Specs and features of the device

As far as the other specifications of the upcoming Nokia 2 smartphone are concerned, the device packs up a 4.7-inch full HD display and is heavily-speculated to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 system-on-chip processor. The smartphone is further being predicted to offer 1GB of RAM along with 16GB of internal storage.

Apart from this, the smartphone is expected to run on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system as well. This is believed to be among the major highlights of the device, as the smartphone will be the first of the many Nokia devices to receive the latest Android updates. The majority of the reports suggest that Nokia might unveil its Nokia 2 smartphone alongside Nokia 8 and 9 – just like they did with Nokia 3, 5 and 6 smartphones.

However, the information hasn’t been confirmed by the Finland-based technology giant as yet. Therefore, it remains to be seen what exactly takes place next. Until then, the readers are advised to take the information with a grain of salt and nothing else. Stay tuned for more technology rumors, news and updates.
