LG recently sent out invites for the launch event of its flagship smartphone, LG V30, on August 31. Recently, the tech company revealed the camera details of its upcoming mobile device, suggesting that the handset will come along with the largest aperture to date.

Smartphone with f/1.6 aperture lens

LG’s flagship device was previously rumored to have rear-facing cameras that would be available with an f/1.6 aperture lens. Now, the South Korean firm has confirmed this rumor about the LG V30 smartphone, Mashable reported. LG's official press release announced that the company will roll out the V30 flagship smartphone with an aperture of f/1.6.

The LG V30 Android smartphone will boast a dual camera setup with the largest aperture compared to the existing handset cameras on the market. The Mobile Indian reports that the smartphone’s larger aperture will allow 25 percent more light compared to the f/1.8 aperture. The smartphone’s clearer lens will improve the low-light performance of the camera.

The mobile device will also reduce the edge distortion than its predecessors. For wide-angle images, the LG V30 handset will perform better for outdoor landscapes, interior locations as well as group photos. Other features of the smartphone’s camera include a laser detection autofocus, a 30 percent smaller rear camera as well as optical and electronic image stabilization.

Specs of the device

Tech company has recently confirmed that the LG V30 Android smartphone will arrive with a 6-inch FullVision QHD+ P-OLED display with 1,440 x 2,880 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The mobile device will feature an HDR10 support and a 109 percent of the DCI-P3 color space.

The tech giant has been rumored to roll out the smartphone without a secondary display.

Android Central reported that the mobile device will be available with Qualcomms’ Snapdragon 835 system on chip (SoC), paired with a 4GB of RAM. The handset will be up for grabs in different internal storage options - 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. The smartphone will be equipped with a 3200mAh battery and will measure at 151.4x75.2x7.4mm.

In terms of design, the LG V30 will have the same dual curved edges as the Samsung Galaxy S8. Joseph Gordon-Levitt's online production company recently shared a video of what appears to be LG’s forthcoming flagship device. Based on the video, the LG V30 appears to be a combination of the G6 and V20 smartphones. The mobile device is expected to come with fewer bezels.
