Apple has big plans set for 2017, as the Cupertino-based technology giant is expected to introduce not one but four new iPhone devices this year. These smartphones include the 10th-anniversary iPhone 8, iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus as well as the successor to last year’s Iphone Se smartphone – the iPhone SE 2. The firm is expected to launch these devices sometime in September, with sales of the same to commence from October or so. Apple usually never talks about its upcoming devices ahead of their launches; therefore, leaving fans in the dark about what to expect from the same.

However, thanks to the leading rumors and leaks, the fans do have a vague idea as to what can be expected from the smartphones.

Specs and features

If reports are believed to be true then the upcoming iPhone SE smartphone is expected come featuring an improved design. While there won’t be any significant changes as such; but slight tweaks here and there will significantly improve the entire look of the device. The smartphone is expected to be priced around $399, with the highest model ranging up to $499. The Cupertino-based technology giant was expected to introduce its iPhone SE 2 at its annual WWDC, 2017 event; however, that did not take place. However, the firm is going to be holding an event in September wherein they might just end up introducing the successor to last year’s iPhone SE.

As far as the specifications of the upcoming iPhone SE is concerned, the device is expected to a revamped design, abundance of storage, a more powerful battery, and several other never-seen-before exciting features. On the storage front, the device might pack up 32GB of internal storage. There might be other variants that will probably offer more; however, their prices will be much higher too.

Wireless charging might be sported

There are several rumors suggesting that Apple might end up ditching the idea of a headphone jack altogether. In an effort to adopt a new look, Apple might ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack – of course, this hasn’t been confirmed by Apple as of yet. Like mentioned previously, the device is expected to pack up a better performance battery too.

Since Apple will be introducing its latest A11 chipset this year, it is obvious that its iPhone SE 2 will also come tagged along with the same. The company might also pack up wireless charging with its latest innovation. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
