The iPhone 8 is one of the most-anticipated smartphones of 2017. Recent rumors claimed that Apple had run into problems which would delay the launch of the iPhone 8 by a few months. The new prediction that junks the rumors was made by the famous analyst of KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, who stated that Apple is very much on time with regards to its iPhone 8 launch. However, Forbes did qualify this by mentioning that there could still be delays with the supply chain.
MacRumors said that Kuo also suggested that the upcoming 10th-anniversary Apple device is going to be made available in three primary color variants.
Apple has apparently decided to do away with the ‘Rose Gold’ color variant from its upcoming Apple smartphones. Kuo also claimed that the iPhone 8 will probably enter mass production around about mid-September. The smartphone will compete with Samsung Galaxy S8 and upcoming Galaxy Note 8. It will be interesting to see the battle for market share between Samsung and Apple.
Specs and features
Among the top features that are set to arrive in the iPhone 8 is a front-facing 3D face scanner, which is reported to have taken the most time to incorporate. The 3D face scanner is suggested to be going to come equipped with biometric abilities. In other words, the upcoming flagship is going to come with support for facial recognition technology.
Nevertheless, BGR cautions tech fans to note that "just because the code hints a Touch ID sensor may be found somewhere on the iPhone 8 this doesn’t mean the phone will actually have one."
No matter, Forbes has come up with their suggestions that the phone will carry way out there specs but rumors persist that you may not be able to get your hands on one quickly. They refer to the leak that suggests distribution delays and mention that "Apple sold over 45M iPhones in Q4 2016 so if stock remains heavily restricted until Q1 2018 as Kuo predicts, then the crucial Christmas period is under threat.
Price of the device
According to another Report published by AppleInsider, it seems like the upcoming device – which is expected to be priced at around $1,000 – is going to be running the latest iOS 11 software operating system update.
The company is expected to integrate a lot of changes to its upcoming device through the means of this update. Apart from this, the upcoming iPhone 8 is also expected to come with the support for wireless charging technology as well.
