With Samsung releasing its almost bezel-less flagship smartphones Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ and rumors of iPhone bringing a Bezel-less iPhone 8 into play, many OEMs are trying to incorporate this new feature in their upcoming handsets. Amongst these OEMs going for a bezel-less smartphone Sharp may soon launch its own iteration of bezel-less handsets. On July 25, Tuesday, a press render was leaked which showcased the alleged bezel-less Sharp Aquos S2 smartphone.

Aquos S2 image leaks online

The alleged press renders of the Aquos S2 were posted by Krispitech on Twitter.

However, given that the authenticities of the renders are circumspect, it is advised to take them with a pinch of salt. Before the bezel-less design became a trend in the tech space, Sharp was already producing its own smartphones featuring a quite high very high screen-to-body aspect ratio. Thus, if this rumor turns out to be true, then Sharp would be just foraying back home.

The alleged Sharp Aquos S2 (105 Limited Edition) render shows the handset sporting a bright golden color along with a vertically aligned dual camera setup. However, according to the leakster, the smartphone will sport a 4K panel instead of a 1080p display. The leakster has not revealed the size of the display, however looking at the image one can see absolutely no bezel on any sides of the smartphone.

Apart from that, it seems that Sharp has done the impossible and has embedded the Fingerprint Sensor under the display. The leaked render accompanying the tweet shows the fingerprint sensor sign on the display. If this information turns out to be true then Sharp has managed to achieve a feat that Samsung failed to do for its Galaxy S8 and Apple is reportedly having trouble with to incorporate the technology in mass production.

Sharp to launch two new smartphones with a 5.5-inch display?

Speculations are rife that the two rumored Sharp phones that are eventually going to be introduced have been codenamed FS8016 and FS8010, respectively, and they both feature the same display size. Both the Sharp smartphones are rumored to come with 5.5-inch displays with 1080 x 2048 pixels resolutions.

Apart from that both the FS8016 and FS8010 smartphones are also expected to come with rear dual camera setup featuring one 12-megapixel and another 8-megapixel camera sensor. In terms of memory both the smartphones are said to come equipped with up to 6 GB of RAM. The major point of difference between the two handsets is the processor under the hood. While the FS8016 is speculated to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, the FS8010 has been hinted to house the lesser Snapdragon 330 SoC.
