All is not over for Honor yet. The firm is expected to launch its Note 9 smartphone by the end of this year. Before the launch of any next smartphone, there are always loads of rumors and speculations that surface online. Similarly, the same has taken place with Honor’s Note 9 as well. In a recent turn of events, an unidentified source has posted a leaked image of the upcoming smartphone on Twitter. The source suggests that the device in the picture is the alleged Honor Note 9 smartphone.
Rumors and speculations
The first imminent leak of Mate 9 smartphone was posted way back in March.
However, no information regarding the same has made its way to the top ever since. After what seems like forever, another leak has finally surfaced online. As per the information provided in the image, the Honor Note 9 smartphone appears to be packing extremely-thin bezels on the sides and thick-bezels on the top and bottom-sides of the smartphone. Moreover, it looks like the device is further protected by a 2.5D curved glass as well. There are several function keys on the side of the smartphone as well. For example, the volume key exists on the right side of the smartphone, while the lock and power keys are located on the left.
Metal built-in quality
As per what is showcased in the leaked image, the upcoming Honor Mate 9 smartphone is going to be based on metal as far as its build is concerned.
Since the upcoming smartphone’s backside has also been leaked this time, it appears like Honor is going to pack its Mate 9 smartphone with a dual rear camera set-up. This particular feature is accompanied by a fingerprint scanner located right next to it. The Honor Mate 9 smartphone finds a lot of similarities with the recently-launched Honor 8 Pro device.
However, the only visible difference between the two will be the display size. The Honor Mate 9 smartphone is expected to pack a larger 6.6-inch display panel.
Apart from this, the upcoming Honor Mate 9 smartphone will most probably be powered by Kirin 960 SoC. The device is expected to offer either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. There is no word on the internal storage-front as yet.
As far as the launch-date of the upcoming smartphone is concerned, it seems like the device will be unveiled sometime in August. This is being assumed by the company’s behavior. The Honor Note 8, as can be recalled, was introduced just about the same time. For more tech news and updates, stay tuned.
